Sony Xperia Z monthly contract with unlimited data available from £26 per month

You can get the Sony Xperia Z for cheaper than £26 per month but if you’re after unlimited data and unlimited texts, we haven’t found anything cheaper than this T-Mobile package from Mobilephonesdirect.

At £26 on its Full Monty package, this plan carries a total cost of ownership of £624, which is pretty decent for a phone costing £455 SIM Free (or for £499 at Amazon and Asda with goodies).

The plan includes 500 minutes, unlimited data and unlimited texts which should be enough for a medium user. The unlimited data is only valid for “mobile internet browsing”, which excludes any heavyweight activities like P2P and tethering.

As for the phone itself, it was launched at CES in January and we have already reviewed the Sony Xperia Z here.

It comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 5in 1,920 x 1,080 pixel display with Sony Mobile Bravia 2 technology, a 13-megapixel camera, NFC and dustproof and waterproof capabilities.

The Sony Xperia Z will face competition from the LG Optimus G Pro, the Samsung Galaxy S4 as well as the HTC One.
