HP Pavilion Ultrabook now available from £409

HP, for example, sells the Pavilion 14-b003SA with two-year warranty for £409, a price that also includes free delivery. The device comes with an Intel Core i3-3217U processor, a dual-core model clocked at 1.8GHz with 3MB L3 cache and based on the Ivy Bridge architecture

There’s also 4GB of RAM (upgradable to 8GB), a 32GB mSATA system SSD, a 320GB 5400RPM drive, a 14in 1,366 x 768 pixel display (which HP labels Brightview), Windows 8, an Intel HD 4000 Graphics (which takes up to 1.65GB of RAM), Altec Lansing speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio, HP TrueVision HD webcam, island-style keyboard and a TouchPad with multi-touch capabilities.

Connectors include an Ethernet port, HDMI, three USB ports including two USB 3.0 ones and a HDMI one. Other features are a card reader, Wi-Fi, a 4-cell battery, a weight of 1.8Kg and a thickness of 21mm.

As for most of the vendors out there, HP has also included a number of pre-installed applications like HP Connected Music powered by Universal Music, HP Connected Photo, HP Coolsense, Cyberlink PowerDVD, all running on Windows 8.
