A few months ago, the HTC One X+ was available for purchase for around £460. You can now get it for as little as £380 on PAYG at O2 as part of the mobile phone operator’s clearance sale, the cost excludes a £10 topup voucher.
Note that the phone doesn’t come with a charger and that you will either need to buy one at check out, use your existing one or charge your phone via a USB cable. Customers will qualify for O2 Rewards and O2 Priority loyalty schemes.
The phone itself is a minor improvement on the HTC X, which is still on sale for around £320. Like the later, it is powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC (although the latter is clocked at 1.7GHz rather than 1.5GHz).
Other features include 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, 64GB internal memory, a 4.7in 1,280 x 720 pixel display, a 2,100mAh battery, Beats Audio, two years subscription to Dropbox for free with 25GB of cloud-based storage, Android 4.1 Jelly bean and nearly seven hours battery life.
