The picture above shows a Samsung smartphone. It looks vaguely like the Sony Xperia Z with its rectangular looks but it is not what some technology website claim it was.
While it is a prototype, it is not one that shows Samsung’s new design guidelines but is instead a Galaxy S4 developer prototype. That’s at least what Sammobile published in a report which refers to a prior leak by another popular smartphone source, EVLeaks.
The picture shows clearly a very different design from the current Galaxy S4 and may (or may not) be indicative of what Samsung will announce in the future; still, we believe that it is better looking as well.
The current Galaxy S4 is an evolution of the S3 designwise, not the dramatic departure from the curvy chassis that many expected. Samsung didn’t eschew plastic citing weight issues amongst possible reasons for the choice.
