If you run a business, there's a good chance you have a Google+ account, use YouTube to publish video content, or use AdWords to promote your products. Managing all of those things takes time, but Google is now aiming to simplify things a bit.
The web giant this week rolled out a new Google+ dashboard that lets businesses manage their online presence across many of its online properties. For instance, the new dashboard lets business owners update information such as their website URL, opening hours, and phone numbers across Google Maps, Search and Google+ from a single Overview tab.
It also gives business owners a unified place to monitor their Google+ notifications, assign page managers, share photos and videos, and start a Hangout with followers, Googler Pavni Diwanji wrote in a blog post.
Besides that, the new dashboard offers businesses quick access to AdWords Express and Offers campaigns. It will also provide insights about the most popular searches for their company, top locations requesting driving directions, and performance data for their Google+ posts.
To start using the new Google+ dashboard, simply sign into the social network as your page, then click the Dashboard icon in the navigation menu. Google also hinted that it plans to expand functionality of the dashboard in the future.
"We've got lots more useful tools to add from all across Google, so stay tuned for more updates!" Diwanji wrote.
Meanwhile on the business front, Google this week officially announced its acquisition of the crowd-sourced traffic app Waze. The move came after weeks of speculation that the Israeli company was being courted by Google and Facebook.
