Panda Security has released Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.2, with a slew of new features that enhance security and give users more control over the use of their computers.
The latest version of the cloud-based antivirus solution comes with three main new abilities: Data Shield, Parental Control, and Rescue Boot.
The Data Shield protects personal data from malware, preventing the theft of information even in extreme cases where all other layers of defence are bypassed or infiltrated.
Parental Control lets users block Internet content under 59 different categories, while offering parents a dashboard view of all their children’s online activity.
The Rescue Boot feature is a disaster recovery option in the case of infections that stop users from accessing their computers. Users simply plug in a pre-programmed USB or choose a recovery option from their PC, which will prompt the Panda Cloud Cleaner to hunt out and remove the relevant system-breaking malware.
Additional features include Access Control, which password-protects Panda Cloud Antivirus, and the ability to install and scan for malware in Safe Mode.
The suite also includes an advanced user area called Community Labs, where people can access and test new beta features for free. Many of the new features in 2.2 were requested by users in Community Labs.
Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.2 is available as an automatic update to previous versions.Leave a comment on this article
