G-Technology sends 2013 Driven Creativity Competition into orbit

Storage solutions firm G-Technology has kicked off its annual Driven Creativity Competition.

The yearly talent search aims to recognise excellence across the creative industries and will feature both professional and amateur divisions.

Entries are now being taken and will be accepted until 29 October, with the competition featuring five categories: animation, music, photography, short film, and GoPro Active.

The winners of the 2013 Driven Creativity Competition will be announced on 15 November and will take home €5,000 each (£4,200) as well as pocketing G-Technology's new G-Dock ev with Thunderbolt storage system, which impressed us at Digital Summer 2013.

"Our annual Driven Creativity Competition is designed to discover and celebrate the most brilliant, inspired work from enthusiasts to professionals and help support their future projects. It's one way we can show our commitment and respect for the creative process," said Mike Williams, vice president and general manager at G-Technology.

He continued: "Our loyal customers include many of the world's best independent filmmakers, photographers, videographers, movie and TV studios, and post-production houses of all sizes. G-Technology's roots are deeply ingrained in the professional digital content creation community and we are passionate about supporting their creative work."

In addition to the main categories, the 2013 Drive Creativity Competition will also feature a crowdsourced winner selected via an online public vote.

The free-to-enter competition will be judged by a panel of industry experts and is open to projects based out of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, and Russia.
