You can get the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet for as little as £25 per month from online mobile retailer Mobileshop.com without any upfront costs. That's a total cost of ownership of £600, which is not a lot for what you get (and given that the cost of the phone by itself is around £350).
The suggested plan is on Three and is the famed "The One Plan", whose cost, SIM only, has just been slashed to £15 per month only. You are therefore tied to a two year contract and get 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts, 5,000 3-to-3 minutes and unlimited data with free tethering.
Interestingly enough, Mobileshop also proposes a number of other Three plans but none of them are actually as enticing as the £25 one. The Note 2 was unveiled at IFA last year in Germany and its successor, the Note 3, is expected to be unveiled at the same event in just over a month's time.
The Galaxy Note 2 comes with a quad-core SoC just like the Samsung Galaxy S3 but this one is clocked at 1.6GHz. There's 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 5.5in display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution and a capacitive stylus pen, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 3,100mAh battery and Android 4.1 jelly Bean.
