You can now buy the Sony Xperia Z smartphone from DigitalRev for a mere £355, not a bad price for a former top-of-the-range handset that's a mere eight months old. It is the cheapest full HD smartphone on the market at the moment from a tier-1 manufacturer.
It runs on a Qualcomm S4 Pro (APQ8064) quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 4G LTE capabilities. Other features include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot, IP55 and IP57 ratings, Dragontrail glass, a 13-megapixel camera with Exmor RS technology, a 5in display with Bravia Engine 2 technology, premium Sony headphones (MH-EX300), Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and one of the best smartphone designs we've seen for some time.
The handset has been replaced as the top-of-the-range model from Sony by the Xperia Z1 and the Xperia Z Ultra, both of which build on the hardware platform of the Xperia Z but swap the processor for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.2GHz. Read our review of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone here.
