You can get the Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone for only £27 per month from newcomer Phones.co.uk, one which shares the same database and design as affordablemobiles and work under the same parent umbrella, A1Comms.
The offer is on T-Mobile and carries a total cost of ownership of £648, which is barely more than the cost of the smartphone on its own. The plan offered (the Full Monty) comprises of 500 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data as well (but not with tethering).
Given that this phone is Sony's best smartphone to date and that it was announced only a few weeks ago at IFA in Germany, we're slightly surprised to see that a retailer can afford to bundle it with such a generous package.
The phone itself is a direct replacement for the Sony Xperia Z, which goes down a notch in the pecking order. The Z1 upgrades the processor to a much more capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz and swaps the camera for a 21-megapixel model.
The rest of the configuration appears to stay the same. There's a 5in TriLuminous display with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, up to 15 hours battery life, Cat4 LTE/4G, NFC and more. Interested? Check out Sony Xperia Z1: Hands-on preview here.
