Amazon sells the Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone for a mere £173, that's a 45 per cent discount off its suggested retail price of 315. The handset, which was unveiled more than a year ago, looks a lot like the Galaxy S3 on the outside but shares more features with its immediate predecessor, the Galaxy S2.
The device runs on a dual-core processor, the ST-Ericsson U8500 SoC clocked at 1GHz, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a 4in Super AMOLED 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a 5-megapixel camera with LED, a front-facing VGA one, a microSD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean plus a number of Samsung features.
These include Direct Call, Pop-up Play, Best Photo, Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Buddy Photo Share and Social Tag. It is possibly one of the cheapest way to get hold of a decent (and capable) Samsung handset. However, the Galaxy S3 is around £90 more expensive and is a way better purchase if you can afford to.
