Coinciding with the start of its 2013 European user and developer conference, Alfresco has announced a new partnership with secure access specialist Centrify.
The tie-up between the enterprise CMS firm and Centrify is intended to bring improved access directory security and enhanced single sign-on controls, enabling Alfresco users to share, manage, and collaborate on enterprise content with greater confidence.
Dubbed Centrify for Alfresco SSO, the new solution is said to provide a better integrated approach to secure access and offer an alternative to third-party mobile security solutions.
"We're excited to partner with Centrify to offer the integrated Centrify for Alfresco SSO for customers of all sizes across the world," said Marc Dubresson, director of product management for Alfresco.
He added: "Leveraging the SSO industry standard, SAML, we look forward to working with Centrify to provide a frictionless experience for customers seeking to leverage their AD identities for seamless access to Alfresco in the cloud, on mobile devices, or on-premises."
Joining the Alfresco party, Centrify will help to ensure that access to sensitive data stored in Alfresco services is limited to selected users across a range of approved devices without the burden of further passwords.
For its part, Alfresco provides a unique content management platform, enabling enterprise level social, collaborative and multimedia content sharing.
"Alfresco and Centrify share the same vision and commitment of delivering secure access to information for those who need it, and protection from those not authorised," commented Shreyas Sadalgi, Centrify VP of business development.
He continued: "Bringing in Alfresco as a charter member of the Centrify Alliance Partner Program enables secure collaboration, authentication and easy access to Alfresco's ECM platform."
