IRIS launches IRIScan Mouse Executive 2 featuring full Mac compatibility

Document management specialist IRIS has used its annual IRIS Link conference to launch four new mobile scanning solutions.

Headlining the group is the IRIScan Mouse Executive 2, an all-in-one scanner and mouse that brings Mac compatibility to an already popular product that features direct uploading to a range of cloud services and social networks, including Dropbox, Facebook and Twitter. It also boasts support for more than 130 languages.

"We had many requests from Mac users asking: 'What about us?' IRIS has always been developing its retail solutions for both platforms. It was only a matter of time before," commented IRIS founder and president Pierre De Muelenaere.

Also available with immediate effect is the IRISPen Executive 7 (pictured, top), a USB-powered text recognition pen scanner that works like a highlighter and benefits from being able to read barcodes.

Set to land in May 2014, the IRIScan Mouse 2 is a consumer-facing version of the Mouse Executive 2 that features customisable shells to cater to every creative whim, both in and out of the boardroom.

Rounding out IRIS' new product announcements over in Belgium, the IRIScan Anywhere 3 Wi-Fi is an incremental upgrade on the firm's flagship handheld scanner that adds wireless connectivity and also features a microSD card slot. It is due to launch in June 2014.
