iland has released a new cloud portal that aims to cut down the complexity and unpredictability issues that are holding companies back when it comes to cloud computing.
The solution works by allowing companies to take advantage of a high level of cloud transparency to make it easier for firms to avoid unpredictable costs, compliance issues and a reduction in performance that are present currently.
“Traditionally, companies have had to sacrifice transparency for the agility and scalability that public cloud provides,” said Dante Orsini, senior vice president of business development at iland. “We designed iland’s new portal to eliminate that tradeoff so companies can fully harness the benefits of the cloud.”
The new portal aims to provide companies with a high level of visibility in terms of resource consumption, billing, performance, the impact of change as well as other critical areas.
Further to this it uses predictive analytics in order to help companies monitor performance, achieve maximum consistency and foresee future growth and utilises statistics similar to those that are present in most on-premises data centres. This means that companies don’t need any new training or expertise and iland’s consultative approach gives customers access to a team of experts to help them get started.
"iland’s new portal exemplifies the type of tool teams need to get past that cloud complexity barrier. It provides clear, detailed insight into performance, costs and usage, enabling teams to easily understand their environment, anticipate issues and take action,” stated Torsten Volk, research director, Enterprise Management Associates.
The cloud portal is part of iland’s wider Enterprise Cloud Services [ECS] product and helps companies to control and predict costs, maximise performance and eliminate production surprises, enhance security and compliance, and simplify management of cloud resource.
