The i4200 and i4600 Plus Scanners come with upgraded CCD cameras as well as the latest electronics in order to be able to process up to 50,000 pages per day depending on the model chosen.

“The market for advanced recognition is the fastest growing segment of the capture market. It leverages understanding of documents which requires excellent read results from scanned images. The new i4000 plus Scanner can assist advanced capture applications with higher throughput and image quality at 300dpi as most OCR engines are tuned to have optimum recognition results at this resolution,” stated Mik Spang, VP of research at information management consultancy Harvey Spencer.

The i4200 Plus Scanner can scan 100 pages per minute at 200 and 300 dpi in black and white or colour and has a recommended daily volume of 30,000 pages. Meanwhile the i4600 Plus Scanner can handle 120 pages per minute at the same level and up to 50,000 pages per day. Both scanners have a 500 page adjustable feeder for documents up to DIN-A3 and charts up to four metres long.

Each scanner has a number of features that are designed to boost productivity. SurePath and controlled stacking automatically adjusts according to the size of the document and aligns stacks in the same order that they were inserted into the scanner.

Perfect Page technology automatically adjusts images without user interference in order to ensure the best quality scan every time, and Smart Touch functionality starts business processes and send scans to predefined locations without the need to open an application or PC.
