WD has announced a program of discounts in conjunction with its UK partners (including the likes of Drobo, Synology and QNAP), offering cheaper NAS product bundles from now until 10 April. So if you were thinking of snapping up a new NAS solution, now’s the time.
In what Western Digital is calling its “NAStravaganza,” the NAS bundles which will have money knocked off come stocked with disks drawn from the WD Red and WD Se NAS line of SATA hard drives.
WD notes that the Red family is tailored for SOHO NAS systems with one to five drives on board, and is built for speed and also reduced power consumption. WD Se, on the other hand, is the heavyweight solution targeted at constant datacentre use.
Jermaine Campbell, WD sales manager for Northern Europe, commented: “This is a great opportunity for end users to buy quality NAS systems featuring WD Red and WD Se drives. The drives and chassis have all been compatibility tested in the WD FIT Laboratory.”
WD’s partners are Buffalo, Drobo, Lenovo, QNAP, Qsan, and Synology. The retailers taking part in the promotion include Broadbandbuyer.co.uk, CCL, Dabs, Ebuyer, Insight, Misco and Scan – head over to their sites to avail yourself of a bargain.
