The Gadget Show 2014: Keeping fit with Fitbit wearable technology

ITProPortal has been walking the floor of the Gadget Show LIVE event 2014, held at the NEC in Birmingham, one of the biggest and best consumer tech events in the calender.

Inbetween playing about with the latest tablets, marvelling at scuba-diving smartphones and taking a kip in Wi-Fi enabled beds, we somehow found the time to grill some of the leading lights in the tech industry for a series of exclusive video interviews.

ITProPortal caught up with Peter Groom, Sales Director of Fitbit in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, to chat through some of the key features of the popular fitness band.

With wearable tech being such a hot topic on everyone's lips, Fitbit's story is one of immense success. As Groom says, wearable fitness tech "is really in itself only about three, three and a half years old. We launched in Europe on 2 January 2012 and since then we've seen a meteoric rise within the category."

To hear more about what Fitbit are doing to innovate the next big thing in wearable technology, and how their fitness program can help boost productivity within your business, watch our exclusive interview above.
