Any HTC fans that haven’t already bought the One M8 have another choice on the horizon in the form of a blue variant of the popular Android smartphone.
Prolific leaker @evleaks tweeted a press render from HTC that showed an aqua blue version of the HTC One M8 and it gives an extra option to the standard silver and grey colour schemes.
HTC’s choice of a blue version is nothing new as in the past it has also brought out blue versions of the predecessor HTC One as well as the HTC One Mini that followed shortly after its elder sibling.
The firm’s latest smartphone had a star-studded release back in March and the Android world has been falling head over heels for the device ever since and it even achieved an ITProPortal Best Buy gong after being rated as 4.5 out of five in a review article.
HTC has packed the top of the range smartphone with a veritable banquet of features that includes a 5in Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution display and behind that is a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. In terms of memory it has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded using the microSD card slot.
On the back there is a 4-megapixel camera with UltraPixel technology and a second depth of focus lens allows videos to be taken in 4K unlike the HTC One that only allowed HD video shooting. It even has a 5-megapixel camera on the front that means higher quality selfies than many of its competitors.
HTC could also release an upgraded version of the One M8 in the coming months in the form of the HTC One M8 Prime that will come with a quad HD display, Snapdragon 805 chip, and 18-megapixel camera.
