If you've been hankering for the 4G version of the Moto G, then we've got some good news – the handset is now available to purchase in the UK from Phones 4u.
There'll doubtless be plenty of interest in this, as the vanilla Moto G has been a storming success in this country, upping Motorola's smartphone market share from almost nothing to 6 per cent in the UK according to Kantar's figures from the end of March.
The handset will cost £150 on PAYG with Phones 4u (plus a £10 top-up), and £160 SIM-free. That's barely more than the original Moto G launched for (it was priced at £150 SIM-free when it first arrived last autumn).
If you'd prefer the new 4G Moto G on a contract, then they start from £18.99 per month.
Phones 4u is the first outlet to offer the 4G version of this phone, and indeed the white model will be exclusive to the retailer for the whole of July (the handset is also available in black).
Doubtless we'll see another boost for Motorola's UK market share, as a quality but wallet-friendly Android phone which also does superfast mobile surfing is going to be a tempter for many in 4G coverage areas.
You can get a 4G handset for cheaper, mind – look no further than the EE Kestrel at £99, a phone we'll be bringing you our verdict on soon.
