An interesting row has broken out in the US between Dolly Parton - she of the largest chesticules - and radio shock jock Howard Stern, who has a show on a channel with the Sirius satellite radio service.
Parton is reported to be livid with Stern for broadcasting what he claimed was an excerpt from her online audiobook on his show when, in fact, it appears it was a hoax.
Dolly is threatening legal action over the tape, but the interesting legal question is in which country does she sue Stern and/or his radio station in?
As with t'Internet, the Sirius satellite radio service can be uplinked from most places in the world, and the programming can orginate from an equally wide variety of places.
Assuming that Stern - who has (allegedly) been taking chances with his radio shows for years - has covered his legal posterior by "broadcasting" from outside of the US, there's little chance of Dolly achieving any legal success.
According to Ms Parton, she has never been so shocked, hurt and humiliated in all my life.
"I cannot believe what Howard Stern has done to me," she said, adding that, "If there was ever going to be a lawsuit, it's going to be over this."
I wonder is she'll follow through after taking legal advice?...
