The First Best Security Practices Competition
Facebook

An exciting new component introduced at this year's FIRST conference in Vancouver was the Best Practices competition with a first prize of $5000. This was announced in February and was sponsored by www.cert.org.  Entrants had two months to put together documentation on the best security practices to mitigate against their chosen risk and cyber attacks.

The competition is actually quite a clever way of getting people to think about their defensive strategies and share this strategy with others and already the next competition on best detection methods has been announced.  If you would like to enter email the contacts shown at www.first.org/conference/2008/contest.html
