Microsoft Plans To Make Windows Cloud Compatible as SAAS advances

Microsoft Plans To Make Windows Cloud Compatible as SAAS advances

Microsoft has finally disclosed its plans related to cloud computing with its CEO Steve Ballmer mentioning the upcoming launch of a new operating system at a recent event in London.

Ballmer said that Microsoft would announce “Windows Cloud” within the next four weeks and playfully added that “sure we’ll have a snazzier name on launch".

It is expected that more news about this operating system will be disclosed during the upcoming Professional Developers Conference in Los Angeles, USA which is scheduled towards the end of October.

He also hinted at what can be expected in the new operating system including a SOA model, geo replication, allowing more interoperability for applications and management modelling.

In a related statement Balmer remarked that Microsoft has no plans of bringing Midori, the much speculated operating system expected to replace Windows, into the market any time soon.
