Motorola has introduced a new feature that allows the users to enjoy full length movies on their mobile handset screens thanks to a partnership struck with Paramount Digital entertainment.

The mobile phone manufacturer has initially launched this service for its users in UK, but it is planning to launch it in other European countries including Spain, France, Italy and Germany.

Motorola has made over 40 titles available for download in a move which is expected to receive considerable consumer interest.

With a downloading cost of £5.99 and £8.99 per title, users can download and then copy the movies to their handsets.

A senior director of Motorola's Multimedia team, Andrew Till, said that the mobile market is booming and the users are craving for more and more music and videos on their phones.

He added that the demand of the movies on the handset screens is because the users need something handy, that they could use while they are running on the tread mill and doing other such tasks.
