iTunes Inability To Establish Secure Connection With iTunes' Store Bugs iPhone Users

Irate Apple users have upgraded their iPhone to the latest firmware only to be presented with a weird looking message when trying to connect with iTunes

The message said that "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. A secure network connection could not be established. Make sure SSL 3.0 or TLS 1.0 is enabled in the Internet Options control panel, then try again."

A furious client who had contacted Apple was told to be patient because they did not have enough resources to deal with the surge of users who have upgraded their firmware.

The solution though has already been published online by Apple and involves tweaking Internet Explorer by checking the boxes next to Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0 options. But for some reasons, the solution doesn't appear to work due to network issues.

To add to what has been an eventful launch day, Trustedreviews is reporting that instore O2 and Carphone Warehouse activation systems were non-responsive and crashed under the load.
