  • Epson Looks To Grab Share in Lucrative MFP Market With Four New Printers

19 August, 2008, by Desire Athow
Japanese Firm Epson has announced four new printers aimed at the growing league of Home Office users which come with a number of features.

The star of the pack is the SX600FW which comes with bells and whistles like a memory card reader, a whoppingly big 6.3-inch LCD screen, individual ink cartridges, automatic sheet feeder and Wireless Connectivity, all for around GBP 150.

Two other Multi Function printers, the SX100 and the BX300F, offer slightly lesser features like slower printing speeds or a lower scanning resolution but still packs in great value for a lower price.

The printer-only Stylus Office B40W also has Wifi and an Ethernet port and spews pages at the rate of 38-pages-per-minute and is being presented as an efficient alternative to colour laser printers (although their prices are quickly falling near to the £100 price range).

All the printers offer Individual DURAbrite Ultra Ink cartridges which cost from £7.99, are energy rated and should be on sale as from the 1st of September.

It's good to see that Epson is back in the printing market that has seen the likes of Lexmark, Xerox, Canon and HP dominate the headlines. Tags: epson, printer
