Intel has joined forces with Yahoo Inc. to bring the web content on TV, with an aim to deliver matchless viewing experience to its users.

Intel will employ its specially designed chips in TVs, namely, Media Processor CE3100, that supports internet on TVs, and it will ultimately help in creating a ‘Widget Channel’ that allow its users to access the web while watching TV.

Addressing the Intel’s Developers Conference in San Francisco, company’s digital home group VP, Eric Klim said, “This is not a copy of PC on TV, however, we are setting a new bar and delivering richer internet experience to TV like never before.”

Yahoo’s Patrick Berry demonstrated the Widget Channel with thin snippet bars comprising several useful things, such as - news, sports, weather reports, sports, and its photo sharing website Flickr.

The move will boast a broad platform to the advertisers, as the integration of two different medium is expected to draw a larger chunk of people together.
