The recent Intel Developers Forum (IDF) in San Francisco, has exhibited some of the astonishing frontier technologies to the world, including wireless power transfer and internet on TV, and now Intel’s researchers have predicted that robots will easily surpass human intelligence levels, some 40 years down the line.
Addressing the IDF, Intel’s CTO Justin Rattner, speculated big changes ahead in robotic and computing segments, and predicted that the technologies are getting closer to real world dynamism with every passing day.
The robotic industry has leapfrogged incredibly during the past 40 years, and is expected to attain supreme levels in foreseeable future, Rattner added.
“We may be approaching an inflection point where the rate of technological advancements is accelerating at an exponential rate”, and owing to this, machines are expected to take over human intelligence in up coming period, said Rattner.
He further mentioned the need of extending the usage of robotics beyond industrial environments, and stated that Intel is working hard enough to make robot more personal.
