Business Continuity - Knowledge is Power
Ignorance may be bliss but, when it comes to recovering from disaster, ignorance can be fatal.
If your staff, particularly the key players needed for incident management or recovery, are unaware of your strategies and plans and their roles and responsibilities within them; if they don’t know who to contact, where to go or what to do when they get there, your chances of survival may be slim.
Having a plan is not enough. People need to know about it, know what is expected of them and have practised its operation.
So if you haven’t done so already, embark on your training and awareness campaign today. Use every means at your disposal, from road shows to mouse mats, from workshops to mock disasters, to get your message across.
You need to raise awareness at every level within the organisation, from the Chief Executive to the receptionist.
Ignorance may be bliss, but knowledge is power. More power to your survival!
