  • Linkedin Partners With Twitter Over Status Updates

    The world's largest business networking site Linkedln has joined forces with microblogging giant Twitter to offer cross platform services to their users in a move which will allow them to make the same updates in both the sites from a single login in any of the two platforms.

    The move is likely give millions of users of Twitter and Linkedln, opportunity to harness synergies between the two platforms and effortlessly enhance their personal and professional networks.

    Explaining the advantages of the development, Allen Blue, a cofounder of Linkedln mentioned “When you set your status on LinkedIn you can tweet it as well, amplifying it to your followers and real-time search services like Twitter Search. And when you tweet, you can send that message to your LinkedIn connections as well.”

    For sharing the same updates from Linkedln to Twitter, all one needs to do is check the Twitter box which is available under the Network Updates box on the home page of Linkedln.

    Some analysts believe that as social networking and microblogging sites continue to mature, more such tie-ups may be in offing as many of these sites cater to a significant common user base which is likely to appreciate any move offer them flexibility in managing their multiple online accounts with ease.
