Mozilla Gears Up To Introduce New Thunderbird Update
Mozilla Messaging is all set to unveil a near-complete version of its free email software update, codenamed as ‘Thunderbird 3’, by as early as next week.
The email-oriented subsidiary of the Mozilla Foundation is reportedly planning to issue the first release candidate of its signature email client by around Monday next week, with the complete version of the software on the cards by the end of the month.
The latest update of the software would be bringing a host of new features and refinements to its existing capabilities.
Of its newly added features, the email client would now enable users to open a part of an email in a new tab, same as the Firefox tabbed browser lets users keep a Web window open, which comes as a significant improvement over the existing Thunderbird version.
Another notable improvement is the addition of a more sophisticated search engine, which would allow users to search across various folders, elaborate their queries in search results, and even display a timeline to assist users locate messages when search results are considerably large in number.
In addition, the email software is also revamped to offer better offline functionality and enhanced speeds, owing to the improvements in Gekko web page rendering engine as well graphic infrastructure incorporated in Firefox.
