Stone Group Launches Neo 101 Netbook

18 April, 2009, by Desire Athow

IT Service provider Stone Group has added another netbook, the Neo 101, to the long list of compact laptops currently available on the market.

The firm, which purchased laptop specialists Rock last year, hoped to bring "fresh thinking has driven many of the major advances in mobile computing."

As for the 1.3Kg Stone Neo 101, it has the same platform as most other netbooks. Same Intel Atom CPU, 1GB and 160GB hard disk with Windows XP Home.

The screen is a 10.1-inch model capable of displaying 1024 x 600 pixels and the keyboard is apparently 90 percent the size of normal laptop models.

Add in a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a pair of USB ports, optional 3G, 4-cell battery and a PCI-express card and you have a good deal. The 3-year guarantee is what differentiates it from the rest of the field

It will be available for sale from early May and will be priced at £275 + VAT.
