Asus has confirmed that the tablet version of the EEE PC, the T91, will arrive in the UK at the end of May or at the beginning of June with a suggested retail price of £449.
The T91, which we exclusively announced at the beginning of March 2009, won second place at the CeBIT-Preview awards, behind the Asus's EEE PC keyboard.
That said, Handtec is selling the T91 for a rather staggering £904 - that's more than twice the SRP. Handtec also confirms that the tablet PC will come with an Atom CPU, probably a Z520 model (with Intel Virtualisation Technology and Sidestep), 1GB memory and 32GB SSD storage. The 8.9-inch touchscreen (displaying 1024x600 pixels) can rotate which makes it well suited for group presentations as well.
Amongst other confirmed features are the presence of a TV and FM tuner, a GPS (turning this tablet PC into a giant Satnav), Bluetooth, WiFi and HSUPA connectivity. Asus has also plans for a bigger 10-inch touchscreen called the T101H.
