Google Integrates Auto-Translation To Gmail

Bringing an end to the language related difficulties while using emails to communicate with diverse people, Google is incorporating its signature automatic translation technology directly into its mail service Gmail.

In order to take advantage of this new added feature, dubbed as “Google Translate”, users would require enabling the “Message Translation” feature given in Labs section under Settings tab.

After enabling the feature, whenever users receive an email in a language other than their own, Gmail will assist them translate it into a familiar language and that too with the help of a single click.

Touting the benefit of the new service, Google said in a statement, “If all parties are using Gmail, you can have entire conversations in multiple languages with each participant reading the messages in whatever language is most comfortable for them”.

Helping to offer translation between 41 global languages, this new feature would surely put a full stop to the task of copying and pasting text from Gmail to other web-based translation services.

As with other innovative features with Gmail, the new feature will also be introduced gradually to users, and any user can check if it’s available or not by simply accessing the Labs section of his Gmail account.
