  • Nokia To Launch 6700 Classic Phone For £269

27 May, 2009, by Desire Athow

Nokia will launch the 6700 Classic mobile phone on the 19th of June 2009 for £269 SIM-free, which is slightly more than the £220 it was supposed to cost and this is likely to be due to the exchange rate fluctuations.

The phone will be available only through Nokia Stores and online at Nokia.com/shop. Available in Black and Chrome, the 6700 comes with a 2.2-inch screen capable of displaying 320x240 pixels.

Other features include integrated GPS, a 5-megapixel camera with a LED flash, HSDPA compatibility plus built in access to Nokia's OVI app store, Facebook and Flickr. Nokia has also bundled in a 1GB microSD card and the phone can support up to 8GB.

One can expect the 6700 to be available on contracts starting from £25 per month as well. Mark Loughran, Managing Director at Nokia UK, declared that: “The Nokia 6700 is set to be one of our biggest selling devices for 2009 taking its style from our premium devices and incorporating expert functionality it will redefine what is expected from a mid range device making it a worthy successor to the Nokia 6300.”
