Another Taiwanese manufacturer, Hannstar, has churned out another Netbook clone, the Hannsnote, as a follow up to its popular but sometimes exotic LCD and Television models (sold under the HannsG and HannSpree brands respectively).
The netbook market is already crammed and the Hannsnote unfortunately does not bring anything new, except perhaps a slightly lower price. The device will be available in glossy "piano black" and "ice white" finishes.
The rest of the configuration sticks to the current netbook template: an Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard disk drive, a 10-inch screen, a full size keyboard (or possibly nearly full), 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, a 6-cell battery and a weight of 1.2Kg.
Other specs include three USB, an Intel 950 Chipset, a 1.3Mp webcam and a memory card reader. Expect this MSI Wind Lookalike to be on sale for roughly £290.
We genuinely wished that the manufacturer might have come up with more creativity as it was the case for this 37-inch Hannsnara LCD TV or this wooden finished Boston LCD monitor.
