07 January, 2010, by Desire Athow

Microsoft Corp., the California based software giant will roll out the new Office 2010 with an advertisement supported version for new PCs along with a cloud based version which will be capable of streaming Office to a PC to function with existing iterations of the Ms Office suite.

The company will launch the Microsoft Office Starter 2010 as an introductory version which will be capable of supporting advertisements. The software suite will include Office Word Starter 2010 and Office Excel Starter 2010 enabled with limited features that will specialise in creating, designing, editing and viewing documents.

The new Microsoft Office Starter Editions 2010 will be replacing Microsoft Works, which has been shipped with new computers for a long time.

The corporate vice president for Office, Takeshi Numoto, wrote on the Office Product Development Group Blog that "Starter version is a consistent Office user experience, such as the Ribbon, with a simple path to upgrade to a fully-featured version of Office 2010."
