Facebook Rejigs Homepage, Puts Emphasis On Better UI

Facebook has boosted up the user-friendliness quotient of its service by bringing a redesigned homepage that purportedly helps the website users to navigate through its various features more easily.

The homepage of the world’s largest social networking platform has received its second facelift in just around three months which could indicate that the first one did not work as expected.

However, the recent revamp aims at making the website more accessible to search by tweaking navigation components into the homepage itself. The new homepage eases out accessibility to a slew of profile features, including chats, recent pics, notifications, etc.

Furthermore, the website is further making it simpler for the users to have prompt accessibility to game applications, including popular Mafia Wars and Farmville.

Announcing the move, Facebook engineer Jing Chen said: “Over the past few months, we've been testing several different designs of the home page to improve navigation to and discovery of commonly used features. Today we started rolling out the most recent navigation updates to help you find what you are looking for on Facebook”.
