  • Charles Jennings – The Skillset of the Learning and Development Professional

    09 March, 2009, by Ben Chai

    In the past there have been many conflicts between the Human Resources and Learning and Development departments due to conflicts in responsibilities.

    In this podcast, Ben Chai, editor of Learning Technologies magazine discusses with Charles Jennings, former Global Head of Learning for Thomson Reuters;

    - What the clear line should be between HR and L&D professionals

    - What services each department should offer and finally

    - What skillset the L&D professional should have.

    Over the past 20 years Charles Jennings has led learning, eLearning and collaborative learning initiatives for a number of business organisations, the UK Government and the European Commission. He has particular interest in learning and technologies, and ran online courses across Europe in the early 1980s and now runs a consultancy in the learning and technologies industry.
