From US review site Extremetech, the HG281D features a native resolution of 1920x1200, and at 28" in size, it seems like quite a steal for under £300 at Ebuyer.

Sure, it's basic - there's only a VGA and HDMI connector, with not even a USB port in sight. But if all you want is a basic, large PC monitor, you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars more, right?

Well, that all depends on the image quality you expect. The HG281D isn't bad for the price, but it certainly falls short in some key image quality criteria.

Its features include 28 inch display, Contrast 800:1 (typ.), Resolution 1920 x 1200, Response time: 3 ms (typ.). The monitor has integrated speakers, a 500cd/m2 brightness and weighs 14Kg.

You can buy this Hanns-G HG281D for £294.97. You can also find similar deals from our online price comparator.
