£500 OPTOMA HD65PRO DLP Projector HD Ready

24 June, 2009, by Desire Athow

Already well established as providing stunning quality for the money, Optoma are responsible for bringing many to the projector fold. Take a look at a film shown on the HD65 and it's not hard to see why

Just as with its predecessor, the Optoma offers a superior DLP image, courtesy of the onboard HD Ready Texas Instruments chipset. Combined with Optoma Colour Enhancement Technology, the Optoma HD65 offers a superb picture quality both subjectively and objectively.

Subjectively, detail is crisp, blacks have excellent depth and motion is smoothly managed. Objectively, the 4000:1 contrast ratio is hard to argue with, as is the brightness figure of 1600 Lumens - figures that are worthy of projectors from a class or two above.

The new HD65 projector is also fitted with the latest HDMI v1.3 input - allowing it to accept signals right up to 1080P. Other sockets include component, composite, S-video and a very handy PC input for your computer.

Compact and easy to use, the Optoma HD65 is perfect as an introductory projector or for when portability is required. Whatever the reason for buying, with images this good, we're sure you won't regret it!
