    .NET is a new strategy and framework for an upcoming programming model that aims at a convergence of applications with the web. Applications written once can be run on any platform and will interface with the web and bring all computing activities close to the web.

    .Net aims to bring together all kinds of computing devices together and to have information automatically updated and synchronized between them. .NET includes framework and applications for allowing all kinds of computing devices like servers, personal computers, handhelds and mobile devices to interoperate seamlessly with each other. .Net also allows for applications to be created on one platform and run on any other platform. .Net uses XML and also offers a new programming language called C# (C Sharp).
