One Mobile Ring has just taken delivery of the HTC ‘Facebook’ ChaCha socially networked mobile phone, for an upcoming review. We thought we would publish these hands-on walkthrough pictures, just to when your appetite in the mean time and ahead of the initial thoughts review of the handset.
HTC ChaCha was announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, along with six other Android mobile devices; the HTC Flyer tablet, Incredible S, Desire S, Wildfire S and the HTC Salsa.
The mobile phone has the appearance of a budget Qwerty BlackBerry–esque device, with a 2.6-inch 480×320 touch screen, a 600MHz processor, 512MB of internal storage, a 5 Megapixel camera and Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the HTC Sense overlay.
The ChaCha is geared up for social networking with ‘one touch’ access to Facebook, where there’s a dedicated hardware button provided on the phone to launch the app.
Carphone Warehouse has just opened up the pre-ordering of the HTC ChaCha handset, on contracts starting from £20 a month with 300 minutes and an unlimited text message bundle. The same tariff cost is also available with 200 minutes, an unlimited text message allowance and a 250MB data bundle.
