Podcast : Enisa Highlights Major Risks With The Internet Of Things
The Internet of Things is a new and exciting vision in which a variety of devices can communicate directly with each other piggy backing off of innovations such as RFID and using the latest in communication technologies such as Bluetooth, Satellite and of course the Internet. However although the Internet of Things is practically a reality, there are some serious consequences to personal security.
In a private interview with Barbara Daskala, live from the ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency) September 2009 Summer School, Ben Chai of www.IncomingThought.com discusses some of the initial risks that ENISA has already found.
The risks involved in the internet of things, is a work in progress and ENISA will be releasing their first draft report and recommendations for mitigating the risk towards the end of next year. Listen to the interview here.
