He currently holds the position of Director of Communications at Canonical, the company behind the Ubuntu software platform, and is responsible for coordination of the company’s communications activity globally. Prior to his current role, Gerry held the position of Head of Platform Marketing at Canonical, building a reputation for delivering successful and resonant propositions to the market. Before joining Canonical in 2007 Gerry gained significant experience across the technology sector, developing a considerable profile in the CRM and open source sectors. Gerry holds a degree in Politics and Economics from Trinity College, Dublin.
