Michael Ide was a university graduate working toward a PhD in physics when a change of plans took him to South Africa to teach. Since then he has worked as a journalist in Cairo and a freelance writer in Cyprus. He is interested in online privacy, and changing notions of intellectual property and can often be found in the vicinity of his favorite comic book shop.
