Sandisk Releases 16GB microSDHC and M2 memory cards, Targets Video and Photo Amateurs

In an attempt to address the need of increasing mobile storage, SanDisk has rolled out the capacious 16GB microSDHC and M2 memory cards.

Primarily targeted towards smart mobile phones and other handheld devices, the microSDHC memory cards will help users in getting a massive storage up to 32GB, whereas the M2 cards will boost the memory capacity of Sony Ericsson handsets.

The microSDHC cards from SanDisk boasts of the data transfer speeds up to 2MBps that seems to be adequate for capturing and playing standard-definition (SD) videos and transferring music files; however, speeds with M2 memory cards aren’t announced yet.

The new cards would allow you to store 3,000-4,000 tracks or 16 hours seamless video storage on your cellphones; in addition, these cards would also enhance the storage capacity of other handheld tools, like GPS or PMP systems.
   
M2 memory cards will cost GBP60 whereas the microSDHC version is expected to cost around GBP45 and both the memory cards are scheduled to be available in October this year.
