Another anonymous Web surfing service - with a twist

There are several anonymous Web surfing services out there, but a new German service called SecurSurf looks quite interesting.

As well as offering anonymous Web surfing, SecurSurf (opens in new tab)creates an 256-bit AES encrypted tunnel between the user's PC and one of its proxy servers located around the world.

Using this approach means that, whilst your own ISP and no-one else can't eavesdrop on your actions, even if the remote Web site tries to trace the IP call back, they'll reach a dead end when they reach the SecurStar proxy server.

The service isn't that cheap at 80 euros - about 55 quidlets - a year, but it does offer a highly secure and anonymous way of surfing the Net...
