Subscription Payment Methods rebound

2005 saw subscription payment methods take a beating in the UK market during a crisis in consumer confidence. However, these methods are expected to rebound with the release of the new Payforit and I-Mode payment systems.

So says Paul Griffiths, managing director for the London-based Dialogue Communications, which developed the new payment frameworks.

Dialogue, one of the UK's premier mobile service providers for interactive mobile solutions and SMS aggregation, hopes that the systems will standardize mobile payment acceptance dialogue. Users will know what to expect and therefore regain trust in consistent payment methods.

With Payforit now live on the Vodafone and Orange networks, Mr. Griffiths predicts that mobile payments will represent around 50% of the more than £500 million annual market by 2008.
