All the way with Be, 24mb line for £18 a month

Telefonica, which owns o2, which in turns own Be Broadband, wants to grab a bigger marketshare in the broadband sector.

So they are about to lower their prices (although it was not the case at the time of publishing) from £24 per month to a mere £18 for their best value line.

You get ADSL2+ which delivers on average 12mbps depending on how far you are from the exchange. There's no restrictions and you get a nice Alcatel Speedtouch 780 Wireless router to play with.

On top of that, Be is a very proactive service provider, finding issues and solving them before you even notice them. In addition, they will give you a free static IP address as well.

Snip from their email

"Be unlimited is one of the fastest broadband products available in the UK. Before today the price was £24 per month for the up to 24 Mbps downstream and up to 1.3 upstream speeds, but we have now reduced it to £18 per month. Be unlimited is also a completely uncapped service so members can surf as much as they like and members also have the option of either dynamic or static IP address at no extra cost."
