McAfee claims that criminal hacking gangs are raising their game by recruiting new coding specialists, but ones that can speak multiple languages.
In a report released yesterday, the IT security vendor says that hackers are starting to realise that their emails and other enticements need to be grammatically correct in order to attract the maximum number of punters.
On top of this, says McAfee, by localising their attacks using specific languages, the hackers can better target their software and sites popular to specific countries - such as peer-to-peer network applications in Japan, online gaming sites in China and banks in Brazil.
They can also, the report says, limit their attacks to countries where law enforcement is more likely to be lax.
